Buttercup Field

She had an icee on the way there - hence the red lips :)

My son wouldn't allow his face in the same photo as the buttercups. Atleast he picked his momma a bouquet.

My son took this one - Good Job!

The kids and I rode out to the buttercup field today to see if they were in bloom. Well, it's not as pretty as usual but we still had fun and picked a couple of bouquets. We love this place and try to visit it every year. I think God gives us the buttercup as a sign of the beautiful things to come.

The First Signs of Spring

I can't wait for the smell of fresh cut grass and to dig my hands into the earth to plant flowers! It won't be too much longer...

My heart grew three sizes that day.

One year ago today a very large labradoodle named Milo came to live with us. Until that day, I didn't know I could be so loved by an animal. Milo is really big, really hairy, and things from outside stick to him like velcro then fall off the minute he walks into the house. He tends to get into the trash can for a midnight snack now and then and snuggles up in our bed when we leave the room. But he is so much more than that. He has become my favorite running partner, my snuggle partner when my husband works late, a friend for our wonderfully lazy basset hound and a playtoy for the kids (my daughter loves to dress him in her clothes). I don't think that I have ever even heard the dog growl. Milo is the epitome of unconditional love.

Enjoying his favorite pastime - running!

The Best of 2010

I have been looking through some of the pictures from last year and I thought I would share some of my favorites.
What a beautiful bride.

These were taken at one of my favorite places in Readyville.

And they lived happily ever after...
Lake Robertson, Virginia
Awwww Clifford is such a good dog!

This was a fun shoot!

The Readyville Mill

Had to include this one. This was the first time my kids had ever seen a walking stick or "stick bug"

This is one of my most favorite pics  EVER!
